Comments: With a BS and MS, I took full honors in Science, English, History, and "All Honors." My education includes pre-med, professional nursing, and graduate work in biology, and Asian Studies (China during the Revolutionary Period). My biology thesis was on the history of science, entitled "Digitalis is Withering," and I was required to write an honors paper. My writing strengths are creative, editing, medical, healthcare consumer education (translating science and medicine to the lay reader), social concerns, speech writing, analysis of literature, brochures, training programs-modules, sales catalog formats and descriptions. In college, I was solely responsible for the Child Safety Act (ref. Congressional Record, February 1966, submission by Thomas P. O'Neill), and wrote all of the presentations before congressional committees. President Lyndon Baines Johnson, the American Pediatric Association, the Proprietary Association of American, and the Poison Controls Centers throughout the United States supported the Bill. I am still politically active in advocacy and write presentations for State and Federal committees. My medical background was in peri-natal healthcare. I was one of the medical pioneers in the family-centered maternity and childcare movement toward humane obstetrics. I took earlier internship training in EENT (and surgery), and was certified in audiology and audiometry by the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary (Massachusetts General Hospital) all provided without cost to me through Harvard Med. In the 1970s, I wrote a self-teaching module for high-level volunteers so they could prepare themselves for their specific areas of pro bono work, and it served over 360 individuals within 18 months. At that time, I designed a study to survey over 5000 women who entered into childbirth preparation, and their outcomes. The International Childbirth Education Association, the American Society for Psychoprophylaxis in Obstetrics, and the American Pediatric Association reported the study. My website will have portions of newspaper columns, guest commentaries, articles in periodicals, and a scan of my book (being revised due to consumer demand), and other writings. I am now in the process of securing clips to place on my URL. If time permits, I thrive on requests for rapid turn-around, creative writing, and brochure design. For clients who must report their employment demographics, I use adaptive computer equipment due to limited vision, and post-polio sequelae. I prefer to provide prospective clients with documents prior to signing Agreements, so we both may begin negotiations on an equal basis. Some of those documents are on my website as a starting point only for negotiations.
